No travelling in this pandemic..

Covid 19 has gone on longer then expected. We’ve not been on holiday this year we parked our motorhome up for the full year 2020. England has had two lock downs this year and we’re on our second one now, when will it end. Good news today a vaccine is possible by the end of the year hooray! Hope all goes well. We didn’t fancy going to Europe in a covid pandemic so we stayed at home. Although some of our motorhome friends have gone over to Europe and have been ok, but have been restricted on travelling quite a bit. So we’re glad we stayed at home. We have kept busy sorting our garden out, it’s been neglected the last two years, our back garden is over 40meters long quiet a task, weeds and more weeds 🙃🙄 Also the patio needed some TLC so we levelled some of the pavers and re jointed them and re built the fence along side the patio which was falling down, A good job done. We’ve done a lot of maintenance on the van sorting out the solar panels and fitted a new solar controller. We have 600watts of solar and 450ahs of AGM batteries which makes us just about self-sufficient for electricity. We decorated the van inside which I mentioned in the last blog, and lots of other little jobs, always a job to do in the van. So the vans ready to travel and so are we as early as possible in 2021.

We have been out and about in our car this year 2020 mostly around the east riding of Yorkshire a beautiful part of the world. We live near the city of Kingston upon Hull a lovely old maritime seafaring town with a water front along side the River Humber. Hull has a beautiful marina right next to the old town which has recently been renovated. Hull is well worth a visit. Yorkshire as one of the best coast lines in England from Spurn point on the mouth of the river Humber right up to Middlesbrough in North Yorkshire. About 90 miles of beautiful coast line taking in some lovely towns and villages, like Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Hornsea, Withernsea and Kilnsea. and lots more. Yorkshire is the biggest county in England and as some fantastic countryside, the North Yorkshire Moors the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire wolds national parks, great for walking and mountain climbing and wild life. So we’ve had some lovely days out in Yorkshire just as beautiful as France Spain and Portugal but the weathers not as good.
